Brave
Went and saw Brave the other night (Spoiler Alert: It's Pixar, go see it.) Felt guilty as all get out, too, because I didn't take Munchkin. I know she wouldn't have been able to sit still for the required time, but still. Anyway, I hear she had a GRAND time at her grandparents. I just know I won't be able to stop her from growing old at 6 like I want her to, so I shouldn't hope too hard for her to grow older.

Cheeseburger!
Brought home some fast food dinner last night, along with a couple extra burgers, just in case We had late night cravings, or kept some for this afternoon. As the Munchkin was playing, she managed to find the bag of burgers, unwrap one, and take a bite before Mom found her munching happily away. While I do admire her intellipersistence, We decided that fruits and veggies are more appropriate. Munchkin was displeased, but soon forgot about it when she was fed pumpkin-banana puree.

When is it enough
I often wonder if I'm doing enough for the little girl. Probably not, but one can hope.
Might not be an update for a bit, I'm going into a depression cycle. Be back as soon as possible.

Keeping up
So for my birthday, I decided I was going to get some chores done and make some meals for the week. Work decided that they were going to stop me as much as possible. As I get home late, I was desperate to complete everything at once.
I was somehow surprised to find myself carrying Munchkin around while completing laundry, cooking, and vacuuming. Now I know veteran parents will laugh knowingly at this, but be warned. The clothes do not go in the pot, the vegetables do not go on the floor, and the baby will do everything in her power to make sure that this is the case.

Happy Father's Day
Happy Father's Day to all you other fathers, grandfathers, and "I might as well be your father"s. May your grills fire properly, the weather be favorable, and your kids be grateful that you never could figure out correct postage to Azerbaijan.
Say what?
There are some things that you don't expect yourself saying until you have a child. For example, thanking this little person you have created for handing you a piece of... What IS that? Why is it wet? Did you have this in your mouth? Is this all there was?
